You need to add field that is called by field x to the search form, not the field x itself.

Hi, I have same problem too.. cannot filter by filed-x or field in that field-x.

Trying several methods to make it working but no luck till now.

I have try :

field ==> stored to database, field-x==> none stored. Then in 'Search List Type' filter with field and/or field-x, but not working.

Hi Fito,

You don't need to change the storage on your Field and Field_X. Leave them as they are by default.

1. In your search form, add your Field
2. Click on the "3"
3. Next to the Match setting - which should say Permissive (default) - click the "+"
4. Change the "Collection" to map to your Field_X field.

That should work. Please let me know!

Sorry I am not available to take an individual look at your site, but I think if you refer to Lio's answer on this post it will help you. Most likely you have an issue with how you have set up your fields' storage.

Yes I already read your sugested link before I post my first reply, that threat and others threat make me to trial and no luck with combination of storage,

And then you instruct to leave storage as default, even this method cannot make 'list and search' filtered by field (in field_X).

My aim is to filter by field in Group_X , I start from field_X first (the easier than group_x I think)

for everybody who ended up here without solution.

In my case had an dynamic select field combined with fieldX. The refered field of fieldX can you set on the search form and need to have the same store options (in the field options) like the fieldX
