I have just finshed a site that I built on Joomla! 3.1.5 with Seblod 3.1.5 and would like to upgrade both to the latest versions. I see people have had issues with this process and no real solutions to those issues except to revert back to 3.1.5.
Is there a preferred order to achieve the best results. i.e should I upgrade Joomla first and then Seblod? Once both are upgraded are there any specific fields i should check or anything that differs in the new version that might cause problems I should look out for?

If you do backup you allways can revert the update.

First fo the joomla update and then go to seblod update.

Hello MarcT,

Before any update I always first do a backup with akeeba backup (free version).
No need to backup the 'Images' file as you can always pull it straight back into your recovered installation if something were to go wrong. I also first updated Joomla and then Seblod (don't forget to clear the cache afterwards)

Hi MarcT,

As the old saying goes "Save and save often!" It also follows with the standard upgrade procedure - backup before up before upgrading anything. Another thing that you can check is the Change Logs since each update is different. They will show you whats new and different so you can focus on those areas.

Hope that helps!

Randy
