Hi everyone,

I'm doing a new website for my sports club (non commercial site):

For each new user I'm asking to have a "strong" password with number, upper & lower letters.

How can I check that?

Thanks a lot,

Sylvain

You just set this in Joomla System configuration.

System>Configuration>User Manager

Then set these parameters:

  • Minimum Password Length
  • Password Minimum Integers
  • Password Minimum Symbols
  • Password Minimum Uppercase

Hope this helps.

Thanks Dave,

I have followed  your advice, but with my Seblod user form it seem do not work: a new user can put "12345678" as his password...

Shall I need to configure something in my Seblod user form?

Hmm, you shouldn't.  Did you change the user form field from what was originally there?

I'll have to put something on my test site to try this later.

Hi Dave,

I didn't change the user form, I have only added some address fields.

Today I have testing this on an all new site (Joomla & Seblod 3.1.5 in french) and it doesn't work too...

I don't know.  I'm baffled now too. It should work.  I'm wondering if because you've made changes to the form that it's being processed a different way.
