Hello SEBLODERS

I’m using SEBLOD for years (it’s a fantastic software) but somehow I can’t fully manage following content structure. Would you kindly share your experience here?

EXAMPLE:

  1. I have a Landing Page (single article menu item e.g. mypage.com/horror-movies)
  2. I have SEBLOD list (SEBLOD List menu item e.g. mypage.com/horror-movie-list)

So far the list items links look like this: mypage.com/horror-movie-list/dracula

What i need is this kind of links: mypage.com/horror-movies/dracula

Basicly I need to manage  item ID of list items links to be the landing article id (not the SEBLOD list id) so when I remove /dracula from URL I get to the LP article and not to the list.

I’m sure You must have been facing this situation, did you find a solution for this?

Thanks so much for advices.

You can set taget itemid in the link settings in the list. But I don't think it will give you what you wan't as this is not how routing works in Joomla, parent can basically be component name, category or list name, but not single article.

Yes, that’s the thing. The single article target itemid in the list item link settings doesn’t work. I have a bunch of clients requiring such as structure (due to SEO proposes) and yet I didn’t find a clear way how to achieve it :(.

I’d be happy with the routing techniques seen in this website (seblod.com).

Forums Landing Page

SEBLOD List of topics page

Single Article page (topic)

Could you kindly give me some hints how to manage so the Forums Landing Page alias /forums/ is always part each url?

Thanks so much for advices. I’m Know a lot about Joomla/SEBLOD already, however routing is still a weak side ;).

Hi, if you have a menu linking to your landing page you shuld be able to use one of the SEF options starting with  /parent e.g. /parent/id-alias etc. You can set this options in link,  search type or globally (in component options). Try also experimenting with other SEF settins.

Ok, Thank you,  Klas. I guess I'll do some experiments.
