Hi guys,

I'm looking to use the SEBLOD Importer:

1 - on a live site a have a lot of Registered Joomla Users;

2 - I'm going to add some custom fields into the User from through SEBLOD;

3 - I have the Users datas to import into an Excel file I will save as CSV comma separated. Please, Do you have a downloadable example file ?

4 - Users have the same email used during Joomla registration

5 - I'll process the Import assigning them to the Registered group and "by key" email, in this way identifying them by email, all the Users yet registered will not be overwritten, but only completed in the fields added, Am I right ?

But, what about "password" in case someone of the CSV users are not yet Registered into the joomla site ?

Do I have to add also a "password" column into the CSV file ?

With Importer you can choose whether to update by set key or not, but this means it will update any column that is present in cvs, so you either import passwords or not. For those users without a password you will probably need to set it manually after import.

I would recommend you test any changes on a copy of a site, not on live site.
