Hi dear community,

after upgrading 3 projects from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 (including Seblod), I must say it was not that difficult. To be honest I expected the worst 🙈

Before upgrading
I would recommend you to read these articles:

1. Seblod instructions: here
2. Joomla instructions: here
3. Crucial (I guess) Seblod setting: here

But I must admit that these 3 projects were not the most "complicated" projects of mine. Some easy company sites with very few extensions (generally I avoid too much of them) and all up-to-date in terms of Joomla 3. After the upgrades and some minor issues (please please do the upgrade on a test site and never on productive systems 🙏) my first impression is that everything is more robust in kind of adding, editing and deleting content than it was in J3. It is not easy to explain, but everything feels more "smooth", not only regarding Seblod, but also regarding other third party extensions. And there were some field types of Seblod like groupx, fieldx etc. or sending a contact form which I was sure they will cause problems (they did not). So a big thank you to the Seblod Team, since they were maybe too much criticized lately. Really appreciated!

But I can also understand people here who are facing a lot of problems with their projects. For example on one project I have the multisite feature in use. I guess there are some issues with that since it did not work after the upgrade, no matter what I have tried. After creating new sites and moving the content to them, it worked. On this project it was not a big deal since it has only 2 sites and not much content. But I have a very big project with >100 Sites which I am afraid of upgrading it 😳

Best regards to all 👋
