hi,

I've created a 'related articles' list&search type which I've added to a module.

I only want it to appear at the bottom of the article full details, but it's also appearing at the bottom of the list of articles.

How can I make it only show when someone clicks through to the article content?

thanks

David

Hi Klas,

With regards to your reply below,

I can see that this plugin http://www.seblod.com/store/extensions/21190 will allow me to disallow a particular url.

But, I need to disallow many urls like these...

http://www.mywebsite.com/news/business
http://www.mywebsite.com/news/video etc

( as these list many articles )

but allow urls like these...

http://www.mywebsite.com/news/business/my-article-in-detail
http://www.mywebsite.com/news/business/some-other-article-in-detail

( as these only show the single article )

Will this plugin allow me to do this? If so, how?

thanks

David

If you have category field in your content type you can use this field http://www.seblod.com/store/extensions/19160

Of you add category to the url (see tutorial) you could alternatively use this http://www.seblod.com/store/extensions/21190

This field can only allow or disallow a field. If you wish to have a module only on item pages (but not on list ones) you will need 2 menus, e.g. list and item. Point first one to the list&search pages and set all links on the list to use item menu. Then you cna set your module to appear only on the item menu, this is standard joomla function.

Hi Klas,

thanks for your help so far - I'm quite new to Seblod and Joomla so please bear with me

I've created a second menu, but can you explain exactly where I change the links? I'm rather stumped with this...

In the list tab of the search type check buttons with numbers on the right side - you neeed to choose link button. Then on each field that has link applied click on + and choose this new menu insted of default one.
