Does anyone know if there is an easy where to do an "export to Excel" option from a table view? Is there a plugin that could do this?

Hi Dazza,
SEBLOD Exporter add-on will be available by the end of the month. It allows you to export articles, categories, users, ... to a csv file (after selecting a Content Type).
And yes, a plug-in is also planned in order to export a custom selection of items from a list. Stay tuned... ; )

Or you cand use custom list teplate and this http://www.datatables.net/examples/ plugin to export to csv your items.
