I went through the tutorials on creating a member profile page. I saw that SEBOLD had a default "User" profile already created, but the old Joomla Profile showed on the front end.

I went to the SEBOLD integration and selected "USER" then made sure the default content was set to "USER."

Based on what I had read in some of the forum posts I deleted the menu link and created a new menu link. Some have said the solution of deleting and creating worked for them. I still get the old Joomla Profile showing.

I then went and created a new "Member" profile. Saved in the "User" folder. Then went to Integration and selected this for default content. After saving and reloading the site page the old Joomla Profile still shows.

Is there something that I am missing?
I would like to get the conditional member profile set up that I read about, but that will not work if I can't get a basic SEBOLD profile to show.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I went and took another look at the tutorials. I found this part where it kind of explains enabling the front end edit profile

"To enable editing of user profile on frontend you need to go to the configuration->Site tab and disable Joomla edit button. Then you need to add FreeText Edit field to your search type, click on 2 (typography) and change Link to Form."

This really did not make sense. I went into "Global Configuration ->SEBOLD ->Site. I found "Hide Edite Icon" but not "Disable."
Problem is now I don't have an "edit" anywhere on the site's front end.

Next we need to "Add FreeText Edit Field to the search type." Where is this done?
I went through SEBOLD Global Configuration and didn't see where this option is available. Is it in the Search set-up in Lists & Search Types? or is it something we add to the form itself?
I'm really lost here.

I got it figured out. According to another forum post the reason I was not seeing the new profile is that the profile was set up under the original Joomla Profile. Even if the profile is modified and then saved, the profile will remain under the original Joomla profile format.

In order to see the new profile you have to create a new user account. All user accounts created after the new profile form is set up and saved show the new profile form.
