When I try to save a new field it does not save. If I disable the Javascript name availability check using Safari developer tools, save then functions normally.
Specifically, I remove class validate[required,custom[field_name],ajax[availability_name]] from element name
I expect the Save click event is intercepted by the validation code and never forwarded.
I'm using Joomla! 3.4.1 Stable and Seblod 3.5.1 in Safari 8.0.4 on OS X Yosemite
