I'm using SB 3.8.2 with Joomla 3.5.1, and I have the following problem:

If I create a wysiwyg text editor and set it to required in the content view. The editor is JCE.

When I am editing an article, if I press "save" and the wysiwyg field is empty, it should warn me (like it does with any other required field), instead, it ignores the validation in client side, and reloads the page with a message telling me that "This field is required - (name of my field)".

This proves that the client side validation is ignored for this type of field.

I have set the validation type to "both" in the SB options, and even tried the option to have client side validation only and in that case it says it saved correctly evn though the required field was empty.

Any solution for this?
