Hi

If I create a seblod content or a standard article (with the seblod form) and create a menu item pointing to this content, the rewritten URL is

/menu_element/  WITHOUT the title of the content

Even if I set the SEF options in the CONTENT view of the ARTICLE content type to '/alias' the rewriten url is not changed.

I understand it is because the menu element uses the com_content component, NOT the com_cck one

but how can I get /menu_element/article_title ???

thanks

I understood that mixing joomla SEO and Seblod SEO may lead to duplicate URLS

1- a menu item pointing to the article creates an /menu_alias URL

2- a menu item pointing to a  seblod list displaying titles of articles with a link on each title creates /menu_alias/article_alias (or /menu_alias/

The problem would be resolved IF we could display a single article without the seblod LIST using com_cck but for a single article we use com_content so the urls are NOT created by the same router

any idea?

thanks

Yes indeed, advice is certainly necessary on the SEF front. So please someone of the devs please shed some light on the issue,

cheers

PS: In the end we definitely need some sort of automated rewriting. At first to avaid duplicate content, also for tweaking URLs and let alone redirecting outdated links after migration to SEBLOD. Please dont mention menually going through the links with the redirect feature of Joomla. We simply need a native SEBLOD plugin for sh404sef or other SEF tools. Can we set up a vote on the most wanted plugin? Here is my thumb for a sh404sef plugin 1+

Following…! Good point.

(Apart from SEF, a valid question how to link to single articles in general. I just noticed in my tests for an "auto-menu", that I could use a regular core J! module like "Articles Category". The single article URLs are the same as for a Seblod module and a list template. A little surprise to me, because I thought Seblod creates always its own URLs.)

The Joomla native redirect feature does not work with Seblod articles in one of my projects.

Can anyone confirm this?
