Hi Seblod Team,

We are facing an issue in Form Type on Admin Tab. We can not save Admin Tab, when we press save button it only refreshes the page and no message appears. All other Tabs (Site, Intro and Content) are working fine and when we save them it shows (Message Item successfully saved).

When we open the page to add article; it shows an error:  [Error Oops! Template not found.. ; (].

  • I have tried to close the Form Type and open it again several time but the problem is same.
  • I created a duplicate template for seb_one -myform (admin). In database manually added its id into cck_core_types---> myform-->admin_template column. Still problem is same.

Can anybody help me out as i have to add 3 article everyday, and i am stuck with this issue.

Look forward to get some help.

Best Regards,

Umair

Hi Umair,

There are a few reason this happens, some discussed here.

  1. Content/Search Type does not save properly.
  2. The Content/Search Template has not been assigned & saved properly.
  3. Problems with a field.

Which template have you assigned to the Content Type, in the Admin section?  Can you try assigning a different template (ex minima) and then saving, then switch back?

Have you added or made any changes to any of the fields?

thanks,

Randy

THIS IS A VERY MAJOR BUG IN SEBLOD.

In fact I been asking for a fix since 3.1.5 and it has not even been looked at. This should be top priority as it completely cripples functionality on the front end. This would be an amazing component worth investing into but this bug is not even on their radar as importance

Hi EclipseMedia,

Can you describe the exact steps to repeat this error?  Does this happen on every server you have?  I have come across this issue before, so its not that I don't believe you, but in my experience it a saving issue - Content Type Locked, template not saved correctly or the problems I mentioned above.  I have never come across this as a "show stopper".

Do you notice the progress bar here as a Content/Search Type saves:

Another thing it could be is the connection speed to the server.  If you restore a site to a local host, can you repeat the error?

regards,

Randy

Hi Randy,

Unfortunately its very erratic but it happens. It actually just happened again yesterday. All you need to do us simply click on a "Content Type" and I believe even if you simply click "Close" or "Save" it resets the template settings. Most noticeably if you use any LEFT positions in your layout, it will reset show LEFT to NO by default which complete destroys your ITEM layout.

This bug is reported by so many people I am not sure why its not priority to being fix.

Hi EclipseMedia,

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately I can not duplicate the same results based on your steps. The fact that you see this intermittently is going to make it even more challenging for us figure out why it happens. In order to determine what the "bug" is, we first need to determine the root cause and be able to reproduce the problem.

It appears that there could be a thousand possibilities and the exact conditions have to line up exactly to duplicate it. Could it be a browser issue, an operating system issue, Internet connection, problem with one of the fields, PHP version, cache, etc? As I said earlier, when I have encountered this issue, simply re-saving with various templates solved the problem.

Every time that you see an issue, can document the situation, and then report it back here, will us help figure out what the underlying cause is.

thanks,

Randy

I think I have the same problem since we work with 3 administrator user on the same seblod web site and some time if one of them save and close a after a modification in the fields of the front end form for instance, we have a Template not found

One thing I observe is if I create a new administrator user, the first time he access the form to edit it and save, the template setting have change without touching it.

Maybe it can help in finding the problem ;)

I will try to reproduce this soon.

Hi Guillex,

Thank you for your post!

Do you know what template settings change?

I recently had this same message: Error oops! Template not found

In my case, I made a change in the Content Section, then made some changes in the Admin Section. After saving, and trying to add new content in the admin section I got that error. To fix, I just went back to the Content Type and resaved in each section and it was fixed. If you get the invalid security token, restarting the browsers seems to fix that issue.

regards,

Randy

Dear Randy,

Thank you for your reply.

I have read all the previous posts regarding this issue, but couldn't find any solution to this.

I am using seb_one template for content/search type. I tried to change the template to Minima, but when i select minima from the template dropdown in Admin section; An error occurrs (The most recent request was denied because it contained an invalid security token. Please refresh the page and try again. ), I tried to refresh and change it several times but couldn't succeed.

Before starting this problem; my colleague only changed the label of a field and saved the content type, but after that we are unable to add article due to [Error Oops! Template not found.. ; (].

Your help is highly appreciated.

Hi Umair Hassan,

I am having the same problem at the moment. One of my form's template changed to seb_one and when try to change back to simplesimon I get this error.

"The most recent request was denied because it contained an invalid security token. Please refresh the page and try again."

Have you found a solution for this problem?

I'm having the same issue.  Mine is repeatable, though.  I'm running Joomla 3.3.6 with PHP 5.3 on a linux hosted server.

With a clean installation, with Seblod installed from the web tab in the extension manager, I attempted to follow the tutorial for "Adding 3 custom fields to a Joomla User Profile", except that I attempted to only add a single text field.  The behavior was as described in the previous posts.

I just re-installed Joomla and Seblod, and after verifying that the "add new user" form (Seblod version) loads properly, I navigated to "Form & Content Type" > "user" and attempted to navigate from the "Admin Form" tab to a different "view" tab.  The Invalid Security Token message appears only when navigating away from the Admin Form tab. Also, the Admin Form tab will not save, even when making no changes to the data.  This is the only View tab which exhibits this behavior.

Please let me know if you might require additional information to try to nail this down.  I was really looking forward to using this extension, and I'm disappointed that I can't cross the first basic hurdle.

Thanks in advance for your time and attention,

Steve
