Hi, I hope that my english is understandable.
I have a subscription user form made with seblod 3.0 and joomla 2.5

When a user subscribes with a already used email he reads in the video an error:
"Registration failed: This email is already registered. An error has occurred."

At the same time, and this is the problem, he receives a confirmation email with informations to pay and the list with the inserted values written in the fields. There seems to be a bug because the send Email function is set on "Submission" as you can see in this screenshot:
http://www.tutticannolisiamo.it/images/submission.jpg

can you confirm that, if the email is already used, the email should not be sent?
Thanks very much

Hi

Nobody else have the same problem? I cannot belive it!

I think it is a serious problem for an excellent component as seblod. the problem occurs if there are any problems filling in the form verified by on server side (for example, an email is already used or invalid file format), the data is not saved, but the confirmation email is sent anyway. I am looking in the forum and on google but have not found anything about it.

Thanks

Fabrizio

Hi

I also had the problem and solved it with the following workaround:
On the username and email field choose as Validation Ajax-Availability. Then take the #__users table, column username and write in the field "Fields" the name of the username-field.
This prevents the email being sent if the username/email is already taken.

Sorry for my bad english. I hope you get what I mean.

Hi Skepsis

many thanks for your suggestion it really solve the problem!!.

but with the Ajax-Availability Ii figured another problem:

if i enter a correct email, appears che call out which confirm mi the availability, than if I click on the submit button the form is not submitted (as if the call out block the submission) I need to click two o more time the button tu submit the form.

may be you too figured the same problem??

Many thanks again

Fabrizio
