Good morning,

How to unable or disable default forms?

For example in my case I need to re-enable default user creation form ( as it has some custom fields )

Second question:

How to "map" fields to existing fields. For example fields that Acymailing or other extensions using.

Hi Eddie,

Your post does not make sense to me. You say that you want the default user creation form, but then you mention custom fields. Which one do you want? The SEBLOD form or the Joomla form?

Storing information in other tables is possible by altering the storage of your field. In your field setup, scroll down to storage and select "Free" - this will give you a list of tables in your database and then you can type the column header of where you want to store the information.

thanks,

Sorry about confusion on Joomla default form.

I would like to display Joomla default form not SEBLOD from

( because on Joomla default I already have some "custom" fields programmed in )

Thank you about "Free" storage explanation. I'm getting error when trying to add "free" field Any idea what could be the issue?

OK, found the issue with "free" storage. It had to be set to custom → free ( not standard → free )

But question of how to activate "default" Joomla form is still not resolved. Thanks again

Hi Eddie,

If you look here: http://www.seblod.com/resources/videos/adding-a-joomla-user and look at 2:40 it shows you some configuration settings. Where it says "default content type" you should select "none" - this will make Joomla the default and not SEBLOD.

Thanks,

James

Good morning James,

Yes, thank you I tried SEBLOD options and set it to "none" and its still takes me to SEBLOD form ( and I need default joomla as it already has some custom fields that are hardcoded into it )

Default form does work when you manually go to link /administrator/index.php?option=com_users&view=user&layout=edit

Even can get to default form from here?

Hi craziedde,

I have just made a fresh install of Joomla 2.5 and SEBLOD 3.4 and followed the steps above. It works as mentioned. You can set the default user to "none" and then "click to create standard joomla content" in order to get the default Joomla form. Remember they look very similar but the admin URLs are different:

SEBLOD

index.php?option=com_cck&view=form&type=user&return_o=users&return_v=users

Core Joomla

index.php?option=com_users&view=user&layout=edit

I don't know why you are having problems on your site. How did you achieve your native joomla cusotmisation of the user content type? If I were you I would just re-do these customisations with SEBLOD (if you are using SEBLOD elsewhere on your site) - that will make things a lot cleaner and consistent throughout your website.

Yes that what I'm planing to redo all user custom fields with SEBLOD. But I need to do it all in steps ( user custom fields with SEBLOD is my second step ) After I redo the display table, which is again right now is custom php script.

Customizations where done by previous developer and hardcoded to joomla

When display settings are set to "none" seems to work for "menu" -> add new user

And not for icon ( new )

In the SEBLOD settings, where you set "default" to "none" also set "add button" to "none" - let me know if that works.
