Bonjour,

I'd like to create a new form type by customizing a standard Joomla article (e.g. by adding a few fields).

Is there a way to copy/paste the whole Joomla article easily or should I do it item per item ?

Hi,

After you click on "Forms & Content Types" at the bottom there are:

Batch Process

  App Folder

Duplicate Process

  Title

Check the box next to the Content Type you want to duplicate, set the above options and click "Duplicate". That's it.

Now you have a copy of for example the "Article" content type you can work on.

I think what you're looking to do (judging by your question) is create a new form based on an article.

I've created a quick little tutorial on how to create new form based on article

All forms you create end up in the Article Manager.  If you don't create a document based on Articles, then it will create a entry with a timestamp as it's title making searching for data later difficult.

This quick tutorial will show you how to create a new form with all the fields you'll want already installed.  Then you can feel free to add all the fields you want later.

Hope this helps.
