Have you considered Checkbox Dynamic... should allow you some "width" in your list display :)

Thanks, I might use this control for other projects.. Curious if this control loads data dynamically with ajax or needs a search botton

Hi Eddie,

You can transform the look of any field with jQuery - there are heaps of resources online about this that you can search for to make your fields look however you want.

Cheers,

Yes great idea, I'm curious if you have any tutorials, tips or resources particularly on embedding this functionality into SEBLOD

You don't 'embed' the functionality in to SEBLOD. You just need to load the jQuery plugin in your template or template override and use the ID of your field as the selector.

OK, thanks I will definitely try jquery when I will 'harden" my SEBLOD skills.

Would be a very cool to have ability to somehow automate that process, within the SEBLOD but it probably will open another "can of worms"

Yes indeed, this would be a nice feature and we are working on it! It will be possible at some stage probably next year with the release of a SEBLOD add-on which allows you to customise some aspects of form display output (among other things).
