I have a site on Joomla 2.5.9 using Seblod 2.0. Seblod was used mainly for some special content needs, but it is also in use for regular articles. The problem we have is there are a couple pages on the site which have become so large that when you add anything more to them and save it, the content no longer displays on the front-end or in the WySIWYG editor. I have confirmed that each time this happens, it is when the total character count reaches 100,000. I have also confirmed that the database field is not the problem. In many cases, we can look directly at the field in the DB and see the content is still there. I also confirmed that pasting the exact same content into an article on a Joomla site without Seblod does not have this problem.

One more wrinkle is that I have a local copy of the site. Same files and same database, so the config should be the same and it looks the same wherever I have compared them side-b y-side. But when I test this on the local instance the erasure of content doesn't happen.

So the ultimate question is: what would cause this and where could I make a change to stop the problem?

Thanks in advance!

This could be related to your php.ini settings, e.g. max post size or max execution time et.c. But in any case I would suggest you first upgrade Joomla, 2.5.9 has serious security vulnerabilities, also Seblod update is recommended,
