Hi,

i am new to Joomla and trying to see which CCK to use, i am between K2 and Seblod. I have read a lot of stuf for both of them, my question about Seblod:

K2 has a lot of specific extensions - more than 200, while Seblod only has very few. I understand from the various postings that Seblod offers a lot more functionality, but does the absense of extensions eliminates this? Or can i use the general Joomla extensions with Seblod, so there is no reason for Seblod specific extensions to be developed?

A crucial question for me before starting ivesting time in exploring a CCK.

Thanks and best regards from Cyprus,
Charis Theocharous.

Hi,

yes, you can use Joomla extensions like content plugins with Seblod, also you can use e.g. content modules that tun content plugins to who Seblod conent, not much need for other joomla extensions as you can do almost evertyhing by yourself inside Seblod itself.

Thanks for this Klas,

so what about events, booking engines (for hotels and car hire) mailing lists? You mean that i will have to develop this kind of apps myself?

Seblod is an application maker, so yes, unless there is such app already developed you need to develop it yourself from the available elements (fields, content types, searc/list types, conditionals etc..)
