Hi.

I want to have the ability to set info in title tag separetly from article title.

I was trying to set title by beforeRender field from CodePack like:

$document =JFactory::getDocument();
$document->setTitle('Title of Page');

And by core 42 (Content Prepare).

But with no luck.

Is it any way?

Hi Jeka,

Using the beforeRender appears to work for me!  Are you trying to use this in a Search & List Type?  If that's the case, then you need to make sure that your field goes in the Search Form.

How are you trying to use it?

regards,

Randy

Hi and thanks for answer. I am trying to use it in content view. I put my beforeRender field to all tabs (admin from, site form, intro. content) but no result. Also due to your recommendation i was testing to use it with Search and List Type but still no luck.

am i doing something wrong?

Hi Jeka,

How are you filling out the before render field? How are you setting up the menu's to navigate to the articles? Have you tested all browsers? Can you try a different computer?

The tabs in my browsers for each of my article are now updating with my new title. I tested it with IE, FF, and Chrome - they all work.

regards,

Randy

Hi Randy.

How are you filling out the before render field?

 Here is my some info:

How are you setting up the menu's to navigate to the articles?

I was trying to show articles in two ways:

- trought menu item "Content - Single Article"

I set just alias and title of menu item and i dont set up any additional settings in menu item settings like page title and etc.

Here is result.

- trought menu item "Seblod List"

So as you can see it works only on list and search view and it realy works on any browser and computer. But that is not what i need.

I need that it works on content view...

Can you show how it works on your side?

Hi Jeka,

I also get the same results.  It works on Forms, and Search types, but not on Content.  I tried changing the order of plugins, but for some reason the page title can not be set.  Please report in the Tracker.

thanks,

Randy

Hmm.. seems there's been some issue regarding the title for some time. Would be nice to finally see a good solution to solve this.
