Hello,

I have a few quick questions:

- When creating a unpadlocked field, does it matter which app folder it gets stored?

- The SEBLOD Search & List field - can multiple of these fields be used in a content type?

Hi Kenneth,

- It matters if you want to export your app, and you want your field to be included in the app package. But in terms of where you are restricted to use the field, no it does not matter.

- I'm not 100% sure, but yes I think so.

Nice. Thanks. That was a quick response in a stressed out situation (my end) :P

Another one:

Regarding categorisation. The site I'm building have 5 main phaeses. I'm going to add content types (events, resources, articles) to all of these phases.

Should I depend upon Joomla core categories, or make my own unlocked filed to be shared and hence control what phase they belong to?

Hi,

what are 5 phases related to? Joomla categories are mostly usable when you are storing same content type items, but you need to classify them into subgroups. It is also recoomendable to have each content type submited to separate category as it is easier to fitler them in the admin interface this way as joomla article editor does not do fitlering by cotnent type by itself.

Nice. That's also what I've done. I've added Joomla core categories for each type I have to store them there. I don't use subcategories tough. I have a field in Seblod which is unlocked and used accross all content types to add them to the right categories (I've added a multiple select box so we can use more - and hopefully show them more flexibly through search and list forms.

Does this sound like a good setup, or am I heading for trouble down the road?
