Hello,

i want to know, if someone is using the upload image filed, can save at his folders only the thumbnails and make use only of a small thumbnail in the gallery and a bigger thumbnail at the lightbox.

For example, a user will upload an image of 1024x768 , the system will create a thumbnail1 like 200x200 , and a thumbnail2 like 500x500 , the thumbnail 1 will be used for the gallery display and thumbnail2 for the lightbox (opened image).

The original image 1024x768 will not be saved at the predefined gallery folder (for size saving on disk).

Hello geolits,

the image is automatically saved, but it can be also resized, so you can set :

  • image : 500x500
  • Thumb1 : 200x200

regards.

Hello,

thank you for your reply.

When you say, it can be resized you mean, that if i put Image->Resize->Shring = 500x500 will it save it with smaller size? The size of resized image 500x500?

What is the diference between "Resize"  and "Resize (Dynamic)"?

Can we someway put a restriction on pixels of uploaded image (I found only restriction at image size)? Example 1024x768 so to resize the image at 50% = 512x384 and not destroy the X x Y proportion of the initial image?

Hi geolits,

If you use the "max fit" option, it will preserve the initial image proportions and make the image the largest possible size within the parameters you set without ruining the ratio.

You can also only fill out one of the boxes (either width or height) and then the resize will work out the other option based on the initial ratio.
