Instead of using the link field, I use the wysiwg editor field (called link1) to add a link since JCE has a link button where you can pick a weblink, menu item, etc, select the target (open new window), for creating a link. I set the field to modal so that it pops up and does not take up a lot of space in the admin form. Once the user adds a link, and the article is saved, I want to display another field, link1Display, that contains the link in a display only field so I can see it and don't have to press the modal button to see the link -- similar to what happens to the link field once you save the article, it says "preview" and there is a link. How do I add a display only "preview" field (link1Display) with the link? It would display the html from the wysiwg editor link1 field. I would create a new field but I don't know what settings to select.
