I'm looking for map which display a locations of search results list, similar with yellowpages.com
For example, your search query is "steel scrap" at "NW" region. Listed companies should be appear on map accordingly.

If the user search some item like "steel scrap" using a global search of website, beside the search results listing, will your map show up with the related markers on it?
If you look at the example link, you'll see, that there are "1622 Results for Metal scrap in All States"; of couse, it's impossible to show them instantly on a small map. Is it possible to show only the markers, corresponded to places, currently listed at search results (i.e. 10 or 20 per page)?

Hi Alex,

Welcome to the SEBLOD forums.

Have a look a the Map template and the Address to Coordinates field.  There is a demo here and a nice example from one the SEBLOD users of the map here.

To do what you want, you simply define the fields in your Content Type.  In your case, an address, city, state, zip, and region.  Using the Address to Coordinates in the content type, it will generate the Latitude and Longitude from the address.

Then you need to create a search type using your Content Type as the model for the search.  You can use all or some of the fields to define your search - how ever you want it set up.   When you browse to that particular page the results from your search type would show the on the map!  You also have the option to show the Search Form - Similar to the example that you show from the yellow pages along the top.

If you are just starting out, make sure you go through the documentation in our Manuals and Video sections.

Hope that helps,

Randy

@Alex, I highly recommend this Map template by Seblod - worth every penny.

@Randy, thank you for the shout-out (the link to an example you used above is my recent project ;-) ...  for the most part, I'm quite happy with the template but I had to remove the search form because after executing a search query, all the links and image paths in the info windows would break (see my forum post here). The suggestion was to add a menu item for the List&Search in question but that didn't help. Any other ideas? thanks much, P
