Hello,

Is it possible to use the canonical field together with the Joomla router? (Global Configuration > SEBLOD > Site > SEF (Canonical URLs) - Yes)

The purpose of this is to get the rel=canonical tag along all site pages, letting the canonical field do the job along Seblod content, and Joomla manage it's native content.

Thanks in advance,

Varandas

Is there anyone using this approach?

Any seblod field works only inside seblod, so this goes also for canonical field.

Ok, i understand that.

But the point is: if i have seblod router enabled (Global Configuration > SEBLOD > Site > SEF (Canonical URLs) - No), it will disable the Joomla router for all content, not only inside seblod.
After adding the canonical field, i can have the canonical tag back inside seblod just the way i want, but i cant have it working along the joomla native content. For that i will have to enable joomla router (Global Configuration > SEBLOD > Site > SEF (Canonical URLs) - Yes).

So the question is: is there any problem or conflict using the canonical field with the joomla router enabled?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I don't think Seblod disables joomla canonical on pages where Seblod is not present (e.g. on some other component), is this what you are experiencing?

Yes, this is what i am experiencing.

When i set seblod router as suggested in canonical field description (Global Configuration > SEBLOD > Site > SEF (Canonical URLs) - No), i lost the canonical tag on all pages, even in the components where Seblod is not present.

This is happening in my live site, and also in a test local server with another installation.
