Hi, I hope someone can help me on the below...
I'm building a website for my local church. Using a blog layout (+- 16 articles per page/2 columns) I would like to make weekly sermons available for download. I will be uploading articles (sermons) for the past year, and twice a week going forward. Thus, ease of use, general sustainable practical navigation, and 'finding that specific sermon of a few months ago' is important. A solid search function will also be made available, but the filter function is just too important for this specific blog layout criteria.
The most important filter I want is for the books of The Bible. To explain, each article (sermon) will be from a specific book in The Bible, containing title, date, scripture, preacher, and reference number (matching .mp3 file). Later, I might also want to include a filter for year/series/preacher.
In summary, I would like to make use of custom fields, linking articles to specific filters, i.e. books of Bible. Then, displaying a module with drop down menu above blog layout (using specific filters) in the front-end for users, i.e. filtering articles according specific filter.
From what I understand, SEBLOD can help me with the above. Can someone please confirm? And if yes. What I want is a very specific function, comparing this to what SEBLOD offers, is it really practical using SEBLOD?
Let me know if you need more information. Appreciate the feedback!
Thanks, Andries
