Anyone got image crop field working?

Hi. I'm trying to setup this field. I find very little written about this.

I've got no success this far. Should this field be used ALONE or along the normal image field?

Also, does it work backend or does it need to be setup frontend?

Hi Kenneth,

This field is done to be used alone, it's the same as the default SEBLOD Upload Image whit the CROP functionality.

Simply set the storage as STANDARD.

This field can be used in frontend as in backend.

Hi Lionel, and thanks for the answer. 

Okay. Then something is of in my end. I've installed it but all I can do with the field is select a picture. Nothing else. When I select a picture it's just "loaded" into this field. No popup window with options?

Hi Kenneth,

you need to set options for cropping:

  • Allow Cropping => Yes
  • Define thumbs needed, and for each of them, define the cropping option:
    • Crop As Model => You will be able to crop manually this thumb

    • Ref Thumb x => This thumb won't be available to crop in the modal, by cons it will by automatically cropped when you will crop the reference.

If you have at list one thumb allowed to be cropped manually, you will see the button "Crop":

Ahh.. the field has been working all along. 

What I was missing:

  1. After setting a size on a thumb, first then the other fields emerged.
  2. Then, after saving the image the crop button appeared (I was expecting it to show when I selected the image, before I saved the content)
